En este Trabajo de Final de Grado para el Grado en Náutica y Transporte Marítimo nos aproximaremos a la navegación a través de las gélidas aguas del Océano Glacial Ártico y, más concretamente, a la ventana de tiempo disponible para la navegación en dicha región. Para ello, introduciremos y acotaremos las zonas de estudio, presentaremos los datos necesarios para ello (registros de las temperaturas oceánicas superficiales) y estableceremos el periodo en que la navegación es viable debido a la desaparición de la placa de hielo. Además, trataremos de predecir (o, más bien especular sobre) el comportamiento de las temperaturas a posteriori, de forma que se puedan aproximar los plazos en que se podrán navegar dichas aguas en los próximos años In this Final Degree Project for the Degree in Nautical and Maritime Transport we’ll approach to navigation through the Arctic Glacial Ocean and, specifically, the period of time in which it’s navigable. To do this, we’ll introduce and narrow down the necessary knowledge, present the data (records of surface ocean temperatures) and define the period in which navigation will be viable due to ice sheet melting. In addition, we’ll try to predict (or, rather, speculate about) the behavior of the temperatures in a near future so that the terms in which these waters will be able to be navigated can be approximated in the coming years.
