Interview topics include, introduction; birthplace at San Francisco; Father in the Army Air Corps; Mother’s side of the Army; description of childhood; motivation for entering the service; the process of being a commissioned officer in the Signal corps; travels to Fort Monmouth and happenings during that time; being sent for Advance officer training; transferred to Fort Georgia; assistant in ROTC summer camp; entrance to flight school; training at Camp Wolters, experience at the Smithsonian Museum, training program for H-19 and H-23 helicopter; training at Fort Huachuca; water testing at Yuma, Arizona; being sent to Fort Bragg and Fort McPherson , Georgia for plane repair; sent to Fort Hood, Texas and experience in plane failures; crash incident story; orders to be stationed at Korea from Fort Knox, Kentucky; sent to Vietnam when escalation occurs; reasons for leaving the Army; conclusion.
