The most significant deficiencies that were encountered were excessive engine oil pressure during starts below -20 F and erratic operation of the bleed-air driven fuel boost pump. The helicopter can be expected to operate successfully in an Arctic environment if corrective action is taken as outlined in the recommendations of this report.
