For example, Jessica MacCormack‘s animation “Joan” deals with the challenges faced by the trans-gender community, in Genevieve White‘s performance piece “November 9th” she bursts red balloons with her bare body, the bursting balloon representing a release from pressure, and the film “When the Sun Crosses the Line That Wind Will Rule the Weather” by Elise Rasmussen explores the history of the fishing industry in Newfoundland. An engaging collection of contributions from Canada, the USA, Britain, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Poland, China, and Japan.
