After a first trial in 1986 of the first four novels of Hugo, from Han from Iceland to Notre-Dame in Paris, followed in 1994 by a study on Les Misérables, this book, dedicated to the workers of the sea, the man who rits and Quatrevingt-Trela, complements an overall triple of the writer’s romantic work.
