El espacio americano posiblemente fue el continente que se transformó de manera más intensa durante la primera globalización. Tras el deshielo del estrecho de Bering, el contacto entre este continente y el resto del globo se hizo a través de las grandes masas oceánicas que lo circundan. En larga medida, los sistemas de navegación transatlántica y transpacífica que forjó y promocionó el imperio español – la Carrera de Indias y el Galeón de Manila, respectivamente – catalizaron la primera globa. The American area was possibly the continent that was most strongly transformed during the first globalisation. After the thawing of the Bering Strait, contact between the Strait of Bering and the rest of the balloon was made through the large ocean masses surrounding it. To a long extent, the transatlantic and transpeaceful navigation systems that shaped and promoted the Spanish empire – the Carrera de Indias and Galeón de Manila respectively – catalysed the first balloon.
