This thematic dictionary is the fourth in a series that Scarecrow Press devotes to minorities or groups of minorities with a significant cultural or political impact in today’s world. The first three volumes concerned Kurds, Inuit and Druzes. The choice made here in favour of the disparate group (almost 90 ethnic entities identified) made up of the 80 million mountains in the north of the Indo-Chinese Peninsula and South tropical China is justified. |
