Il existe très peu de disques sur la guimbarde. Le grand virtuose yakoute Ivan Alexeyev a joué pour tout un disque microsillon (Ivan Alexeyev: Xomus, LP Melodia C30-08081-82, 1973) plusieurs morceaux de guimbarde avec une virtuosité incomparable.
