Une courte prospection a été organisée sur l’îlet de Terre-de-Bas à Petite-Terre. Cette investigation a permis de préciser l’emplacement de quelques structures coloniales. Il semblerait d’ailleurs que l’ensemble des vestiges de cette période soit situé à proximité du phare, les seuls indices découverts sur le reste de l’île étant des murets de clôture ou de parcellaire en pierre sèche. Par contre l’occupation précolombienne s’est révélée encore plus dense que prévue puisque trois nouveaux sit. A short survey was organised on the island of Newfoundland in Petite-Terre. This investigation has made it possible to clarify the location of some colonial structures. Moreover, it would appear that all the remnants of this period are located close to the lighthouse, the only indices found on the rest of the island being fencing or parcellar in dry stone. On the other hand, the pre-Colombian occupation proved to be even more dense than expected, with three new requirements.
