Los recursos humanos locales como personal de expedición en el mercado de cruceros antárticos

El objetivo de este trabajo se centra en conocer la inserción de los recursos humanos locales (residentes en Ushuaia y Argentina) como miembros del staff de los cruceros de expedición de turismo antártico. Para tal fin se llevó adelante un análisis de los despachos de los buques con el fin de identificar los recursos humanos locales involucrados, a quienes se les solicitó que contestaran un cuestionario vía electrónica y, por último, se realizaron entrevistas a actores clave vinculados con el reclutamiento del staff. Los resultados demuestran una importante participación de los recursos humanos locales en el mercado del turismo antártico y permiten conocer los principales factores que favorecen y que también afectan dicha inserción, ayudando a pensar estrategias para lograr mayores posibilidades laborales en el futuro. The aim of this work is to learn about the integration of local human resources (residents of Ushuaia and Argentina) as members of the staff of Antarctic tourist shipping cruises. To this end, an analysis of the offices of the vessels was carried out in order to identify the local human resources involved, who were asked to reply to a questionnaire electronically and, finally, interviews were conducted with key actors linked to the recruitment of staff. The results demonstrate a significant involvement of local human resources in the Antarctic tourism market and make it possible to identify the main factors that favour and also affect this integration, helping to think about strategies to achieve greater job opportunities in the future.
