Summary:The article presents the image of Polish community in Iceland. The migration from Poland to Iceland is a relatively new phenomenon. The presence of Poles on the island dates back to the interwar period. However more numerous Polish community in Iceland was shaped only in the 90. of the the twentieth century. It was connected with migration of Polish workforce. Currently, the number of Poles on the island is estimated at about 10.000 people.
