The Iberian wolf. Population evolution in Spain and current problems with the livestock sector

This study aims to analyze how it has evolved over the last decade our most precious canine, The Iberian wolf (Canis lupus signatus Cabrera, 1907) not only in the Spanish state but also in Portugal, so the study encompasses all the wolf population of the Iberian Peninsula. Thanks to analysts, naturalists and writers like Ramon Grande Brio or Felix Rodriguez de la Fuente we can not only analyze the biology, ecology and behavior of our canine but also what are the main problems that affected and that are affecting the wolf population characteristics in Spain. The analysis carried out allowed us to observe the beginning of the many conservation problems of the Iberian wolf population, are the lack of conservation laws and the Iberian wolf attacks to the livestock sector, reason why we propose some methods to prevent livestock attacks and also we expose how it is wolf management in the different autonomous communities of Spain. TFGM Con este estudio se pretende analizar cómo ha evolucionado a lo largo de la última década nuestro cánido más preciado, El Lobo Ibérico (Canis lupus signatus, Cabrera, 1907) no solo en el Estado español sino también en Portugal, así pues el estudio engloba toda la población lobuna de la Península Ibérica. Gracias a analistas, naturalistas y escritores como Ramón Grande del Brío o Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente no solo podemos analizar las características biológicas, ecológicas y de comportamiento de nuestro cánido sino también cuales son los principales problemas que afectaron y siguen afectado a la población de lobos en España. El análisis realizado nos ha permitido observar que el nacimiento de muchos problemas con los lobos es la carencia de leyes de conservación y los ataques del lobo al sector ganadero, por lo que se proponen algunos métodos para prevenir los ataques al ganado y expones como es la gestión del lobo en las diferentes comunidades autonómicas de España.
