This natural environment combines several out-standing features: Ordovician limestone cuestas, remarkable shore platforms and cliffs, subarctic endemic vegetation and very active bird life, etc. The recent construction of the highway 138 has threatened this territory. In order to insure a better protection of its resources the author suggests that a conservation park be created.
