Mais les origines de l’autre partie des locuteurs francophones ont deux souches : les Metis et les Europeens francophones, ce qui rend la situation sociolinguistique unique au Canada.En effet, lorsqu’on examine le repertoire linguistique de cette communaute, on remarque un contraste entre l’utilisation d’une langue plus formelle apprise a l’ecole et le maintien de trois varietes de francais (le metis, le quebecois et les dialectes francophones d’Europe) encore parlees dans les zones rurales et dans des situations informelles, dans le but d’exprimer differents sentiments d’identites. The Franco-Manitobans mostly have their roots in Quebec. But the origins of the other part of the French-speaking speakers have two strains: the French-speaking Metis and Europeans, which makes the sociolinguistic situation unique to Canada.When looking at the linguistic repertoire of this community, there is a contrast between the use of a more formal language learned with the ecole and the maintenance of three French-language varieties (Metis, quebecois and French-speaking dialects in Europe) still PARLEES in rural areas and in informal situations, with the aim of expressing different feelings of identities.
