The database covers 169 most recent scientific studies published between 2007 and 2019. It addresses topics including political issues and disputes in the Arctic Region, potential economic activities as well as economic opportunities and challenges, social and ecological structure of the region, technological developments based on the changing conditions, environmental concerns as a result of climate change and new industrial activities, legal disputes regarding continental shelf and EEZ, national defense and security efforts of the actors in the Arctic, and potential energy reserves and new logistics routes that have become accessible due to melting glaciers.
