International audience Fishing activities in the marine environment where they must cohabit with the exploitation of oil and mineral underwater resources are now a reality. Just like the conflicts that emerge in this regard. Diamonds in Namibia, tin in Indonesia, phosphates in New Guinea or hydrocarbons in Ireland or Falkland Islands are some examples of interference between fishing and the extraction of these non-living resources from the seabed. These conflicts will increase as technological progress is made to develop these industrial operations, which will be facilitated by increased consumer demand and the scarcity of certain minerals, as well as a reduction in the oil and gas reserve on land. In our paper, we try to present, first, this new reality that results from the convergence of different human activities in certain maritime areas. And then we examine the tensions generated by this concomitance of activities and its echo in international law and in EU law. Les activités de pêche en milieu marin où elles doivent cohabiter avec l’exploitation de ressources pétrolières et minérales sous-marines sont aujourd’hui une réalité. Tout comme les conflits qui émergent à cet égard. Les diamants en Namibie, l’étain en Indonésie, les phosphates en Nouvelle-Guinée ou les hydrocarbures en Irlande Terre-Neuve ou Malouines sont quelques exemples d’interférence entre la pêche et l’extraction de ces ressources non vivantes des fonds marins. Ces conflits augmenteront à mesure que des progrès technologiques seront réalisés permettant le développement de ces opérations industrielles, ce qui sera favorisé par une demande accrue des consommateurs et par la raréfaction de certains minéraux, ainsi que par une diminution de la réserve d’hydrocarbures sur terre. Dans notre communication, nous essayons de présenter, premièrement, cette nouvelle réalité qui résulte de la convergence de différentes activités humaines dans certains espaces maritimes.
