A little bit new practice ( GAL) was tempted in classes of cycle 3 to bring to light the strategies or the procedures used by the pupils during the agreement subject / verb on situations of productions in written language. These explicitations allowed to bring to light obstacles. Besides, the led work brings to light that the pupils in trouble, unlike the successful pupils, would pile the knowledges without reorganizing them, the knowledges would substitute themselves some for the others, the last one being dominant with regard to the others. Après un bref état des lieux de l’enseignement de la langue à l’école primaire et des difficultés des enseignants dans la mise en place d’une démarche en observation réfléchie de la langue, l’article s’attache à montrer les résultats d’une recherche en langue et plus particulièrement sur l’accord entre le sujet et le verbe, recherche menée dans le cadre du pôle Nord Est des IUFM entre les années 2005 et 2007. Des pratiques un peu nouvelles (GAL) ont été tentées dans des classes de cycle 3 afin de mettre en lumière les stratégies ou les procédures employées par les élèves lors de l’accord sujet-verbe dans des situations de productions en langage écrit. Ces explicitations ont permis de mettre en évidence des obstacles. Par ailleurs, le travail mené met en évidence que les élèves en difficulté, à la différence des élèves performants, empileraient les savoirs sans les réorganiser, les savoirs se substitueraient les uns aux autres, le dernier étant dominant ...
