En busca de una territorialidad Antártica. Esfuerzos desde el estado para forjar el sentido de pertenencia hacia la Antártica durante la primera mitad del siglo XX

La presente investigación busca adentrarse, desde una exhaustiva revisión historiográfica y documental, en lo que fueron los sistemáticos esfuerzos del Estado chileno por forjar un sentido de pertenencia en los habitantes del territorio nacional con respecto a la Antártica durante los primeros cincuenta años del siglo XX. El análisis de los conceptos “Estado”, “Territorio” y “Territorialidad” y su conexión con la Antártica, permiten configurar un cuadro bastante prístino de lo que fue el papel ejecutado desde las altas esferas de poder durante media centuria en torno a la constante búsqueda de la creación de un lazo perdurable entre el habitante y aquel nuevo territorio que venía a formar parte del cuerpo de la nación. This investigation seeks to build on a comprehensive historical and documentary review, in which were the Chilean State’s systematic efforts to forge a sense of belonging among the inhabitants of the national territory in relation to the Antarctic during the first 50 years of the 20th century. An analysis of the concepts of ‘State’, ‘Territory’ and ‘territoriality’ and their connection with the Antarctic make it possible to create a fairly praisal picture of what was the role performed from the high levels of power for half a centuries around the constant search for the creation of a lasting loop between the inhabitant and the new territory that formed part of the body of the nation.
