The fauna of La Chapelle-aux-Saints is dominated by Rangifer tarandus and Bovinae (the Bison being doubtless only represented), the other species (Sus scrofa, Cervus elaphus, Capra ibex, Equus caballus, Marmota) playing only a minor role. This faunal assemblage supplies us with information in domains so varied as the paleoclimatology, paleoenvironments, chronology and palethnology. 52-56.
