The Young Innovative Entrepreneurs project is a support system for young innovative entrepreneurs and future entrepreneurs in the Barents Region, that aims at developing new contacts, business ideas and an entrepreneurial mindset across the borders. It focuses on making the Barents Region more attractive as a place to stay and do business in. In this publication we describe the background, implementation and outcome of the Young Innovative Entrepreneurs project. As the cross-cutting theme of the whole project has been creative thinking and innovativeness, this publication breathes the same spirit. Young people want and are willing to work towards a vigorous Barents Region in which young entrepreneurs see more possibilities than obstacles. One way to obtain this vitality can be personal relationships, adequate support tools and cooperation in the region. By sharing the experiences of the project staff and participants, this publication shows that the youth believe in the future of the Barents Region.
