Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantaja on tapahtumatuotantoyritys Arctic Lines Oy, joka järjestää Arctic Weekend tapahtumaa Rovaniemellä. Työssä tutkitaan vuoden 2021 Arctic Weekend tapahtuman rahavirtaa ja mietitään kehityssuunnitelma tulevaan tapahtumaan. Tutkinnan kohteet ovat majoitus, ruokailu, tapahtumaliput, hissiliput ja muut mahdolliset rahavirrat. Selvityksessä hyödynnettään toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön menetelmää, sekä tutkimusmateriaali toteutetaan määrällisen tutkimuksen periaatteella. Määrällisellä tutkimuksella tutkitaan, mihin ja kuinka paljon asiakas on tuonut rahaa tapahtumassa. Rahavirtoja pyritään sitten analysoimaan ja mietitään, miten se saataisiin kasvamaan tulevassa tapahtumassa. Aineistoa saatiin edellisestä tapahtumasta yhteistyöyrityksiltä, jotka olivat tapahtuman majoitus-, ruokailu-, yms. kumppaneita. Tämän opinnäytetyön selvityksen avulla toimeksiantajalle selviää mihin tapahtumassa kannattaa panostaa, jotta siitä saadaan taloudellisesti mahdollisimman kannattava. The client of this thesis is an event production company Arctic Lines Oy, which has been organising the Arctic Weekend event in Rovaniemi. In this work the cash flows from customers in the 2021 event are examined and analysed, and a development plan is prepared for future events. The different cash flows and customer consumption segments in this project are accommodation, meals, event tickets, ski tickets and other possible cash flows. The project utilizes the method of a functional thesis, and the research material is implemented on the principle of quantitative research. Quantitative research examines where and how much money a customer has brought in at the event. The cash flows will be analyzed and considered how they could be made to grow in the future. Material from the previous event was obtained from partner companies who were providing accommodation, dining, etc. services for event visitors.
