Incoming koulutusmatkailun selviytyminen Covid -19- kriisistä: benchmarking tutkimus SAMK EduTravelille

Tämän opinnäytetyön aiheena oli selvittää minkälaisia toimenpiteitä suomalaiset koulutusmatkailutoimijat ovat tehneet Covid -19-kriisin vuoksi ja kehittää SAMK EduTravelin toimintaa niin, että heidän toimintansa vastaa Covid -19-kriisin tuomiin haasteisiin. Opinnäytetyön aikana hyödynnettiin teemahaastatteluja, jotta Benchmarking -tutkimuksen tekeminen oli mahdollista. Teemahaastatteluja oli kahdenlaisia, yksilö- ja ryhmä-haastatteluja. Yksilöhaastatteluihin osallistuivat opinnäytetyön toimeksiantaja, Sumino Oy:n, Council for Creative Education:in (CCE) ja Go Arctic:in koulutusmatkailutoimijat. Ryhmähaastatteluun osallistuivat Visit Finland:in ja VisitEDUFinn:in toimijat. Teemahaastattelujen teemana oli, millaista koulutusmatkailu organisoiden toiminta oli ennen Covid -19-kriisiä ja miten se on muuttunut Covid -19-kriisin myötä, miten he kehittävät toimintaansa tulevaisuudessa ja minkälaiset tulevaisuuden näkymät koulutusmatkailulla on tulevaisuudessa. Opinnäytetyön teoreettinen viitekehys koostuu koulutusmatkailusta, Benchmarking -tutkimuksesta. Työssä käsiteltiin myös SAMK EduTravelista organisaationa. Työn lopuksi työssä kerrotaan kehitysideoita SAMK EduTravelille ja pohdintaa opinnäytetyöstä. Tässä opinnäytetyössä käytettiin laadullisia ei kvantitatiivisia tutkimusmenetelmiä, koska tämän opinnäytetyön aikana pyritään kehittämään SAMK EduTravelin toimintaa. Sisällönanalyysinä toimii aineistolähtöinen sisällönanalyysi, koska opinnäytetyötä ohjaa tutkimuksen aikana tehtyjen teemahaastattelujen aineistot. The Subject of this thesis was to find out what kind of measures Finnish educational tourism operators have taken due to the Covid -19 crisis and to develop SAMK EduTravel’s operations so that their operations meet the challenges brought by the Covid -19- crisis. During the thesis, thematic interviews were utilized to make it possible to conduct a Benchmarking study. There were two types of thematic interviews, individual and group. Individual interviews were attended by the educational commissioners of the thesis, Sumino Oy, The Council for Creative Education (CCE) and Go Arctic. Actors from Visit Finland and VisitEDUFinn participated in the group interview. The theme of the thematic interviews was what the activities of educational travel in the organizations were like before the Covid -19 crisis and how it has changed during the Covid -19 crisis, how they will develop their activities in the future and what are future prospects for educational travel in the future. The theoretical framework of the thesis consists of educational travel, Benchmarking research. SAMK EduTravel as an organization was also discussed in the work. The end of this work consists of development ideas for SAMK EduTravel and the reflection of the thesis. In this thesis there will be used qualitative research methods because the aim is to develop the operations of SAMK EduTravel. The content analysis is material-based content analysis, because the thesis is guided by the materials of the thematic interviews conducted during the research.
