Lastenreuma ja fysioterapia erikoissairaanhoidossa : Työohje Pohjois-Karjalan keskussairaalan lasten työryhmän fysioterapeuteille
Lastenreuma on yleisin lasten pitkäaikaisista harvinaisista niveltulehduksellisista autoimmuunisairauksista, jonka syntyperää ei tunneta. Lastenreuma diagnosoidaan keskimäärin 7-vuotiailla ja noin puolet potilaista sairastuu alle 5-vuotiaina. Suomessa lastenreumaan sairastuu vuosittain 150–200 alle...

Lastenreuma on yleisin lasten pitkäaikaisista harvinaisista niveltulehduksellisista autoimmuunisairauksista, jonka syntyperää ei tunneta. Lastenreuma diagnosoidaan keskimäärin 7-vuotiailla ja noin puolet potilaista sairastuu alle 5-vuotiaina. Suomessa lastenreumaan sairastuu vuosittain 150–200 alle 16-vuotiasta lasta ja nuorta. Lastenreumaa sairastavan lapsen ja nuoren hoito ja kuntoutus toteutetaan moniammatillisesti. Fysioterapialla on kuntoutuksessa tärkeä rooli. Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is the most common chronic joint inflammatory autoimmune disease in children and its origin is unknown. JIA is diagnosed on average at the age of 7 and about half of the patients get it when under the age of 5. Annually in Finland, 150– 200 under 16-year-old children and adolescents get the diagnosis. The treatment and rehabilitation of JIA are implemented in multidisciplinary teams. In rehabilitation, physiotherapy plays an important role and its overall goal is to maintain the child’s and adolescent’s age-appropriate functional ability and motor development. The purpose of this practice-based thesis, commissioned by Siun sote, was to gather current researched information on the physiotherapy of JIA and to develop physiotherapy at the North Karelia Central Hospital. The aim of the thesis was to compile an updated work instruction on JIA physiotherapy for the physiotherapy team in the pediatric and adolescent outpatient department. The purpose of the work instruction is to give an operating model for the multidisciplinary team and for the implementation of individual physiotherapy. The work instruction was compiled based on current researched information and according to the principles of a good work instruction. During the thesis process, the work instruction was edited based on the feedback received from a representative of Siun sote. A further development idea could be a more detailed familiarization with the process of measuring functional ability in children or adolescents with JIA. In addition, the usability and functionality of the work instruction in individual physiotherapy could be tested. |
