Dear Mr. Monnig: I would like to thank you again for the article on the Antarctica meteorites. I enjoyed reading about how the scientist’s believe the meteorites come to the surface of the blue ice fields. It will be very interesting to see the full report on the meteorites by the Japanese and American research people at some future date. I will be very interested to know the types of meteorites on classifications given to all the different falls to see how they correlate with present day falls and finds. Enclosed with this letter is the article you wanted about meteorites written by Glenn Huss. Sorry it has taken me so long to get the copy to you. However, I had been waiting for a copy machine to arrive at the Richardson library that takes excellent reproductions of pictures in articles or books. However, the copy machine did not arrive and is not likely to for some time. I went ahead and got some good copies of the article on their present copier so that I can send the article on to you for your records. It was good news to hear that you and Bob Brown had a fruitful trip on you last trip to Oklahoma. I am sure that the fragments must be down over those large remarks between highway 53 and highway 7 in Oklahoma. Hopefully, we will get to work on more survey and canvasing trips before to much longer. If my job allows me the time off to go with you on your next trip, I would like to go with you and Bob Brown. I am glad that you were able to acquire some good county maps from your friend in ardmore. I have a piece of good news. Last Friday a week ago I decided to go o a field trip to hunt arrowheads near Paris, Texas. I decided to make a quick trip by Deport, Texas to see if any fragments had been found by anyone. Much to my surprise, one small piece weighing two ounces had been found by Obie Woods, a relation to the late Jess Woods. Obie works for the city ad was getting ready to do some ...
