Данная исследовательская работа посвящена исследованию особенностей поведения и акустической активности белух (Delphinapterus leucas) в естественных условиях обитания в период репродуктивного скопления в Белом море и при содержании животных в неволе в вольере «Приморского океанариума» на о. Русский, г. Владивосток. Проведено сравнение уровня акустической эхолокационной и коммуникационной активности белух в различных условиях обитания. В работе представлен подробный анализ различных категорий сигналов в пределах группы коммуникационных сигналов и выявлена их взаимосвязь с поведением животных. Большое внимание уделяется различиям в пределах каждой категории сигналов в естественных условиях и при содержании в неволе. Полученные данные указывают на возможность использования характеристик акустической активности белух для оценки состояния популяций. В работе рассмотрена перспектива практического использования белух в дельфинотерапии. This research work is devoted to the research of behavior and acoustic activity of Beluga whales (Delphinapterus leucas) observed under natural conditions in the period of the reproductive gathering in the White Sea and in captivity in the aviary of "The Primorye Oceanarium" on Russky Island, Vladivostok. The comparison of the level of acoustic echolocation activity and communication of Beluga whales in different habitats was made. The work gives a detailed analysis of the various categories of signals within a group of communicative signals and shows their relationship with the behavior of animals. Much attention is drawn to the differences within each category of signals under natural conditions and in captivity. The obtained data indicate the possibility of using the properties of acoustical activity of Beluga whales to evaluate their population status. The prospect for practical use of Beluga whales in dolphin therapy was examined in this work.
