The assessment of hydroecological status and sustainability of polar lakes under anthropogenic impact

Natural polar ecosystems are unstable themselves, and aquatic ecosystems are the most vulnerable. Therefore, in order to ensure environmental protection, it is necessary to assess the state and stability of water bodies in the polar regions. In this thesis, an assessment of the current state and stability of water bodies in the polar regions to climatic and anthropogenic influences is carried out on the example of lakes in the Lena River delta, as well as lakes in the Nadym and Salekhard districts (Arctic) and lakes located on King George Island, in the oases of Schirmacher and Larsemann Hills (Antarctica).
