Данная работа посвящена изучению финской национальной идентичности, период становления которой относится к периоду формирования независимого государства – Финляндии. Процессы политического и интеллектуального обособления относятся к концу XIX – началу XX века. В рамках исследования, внимание уделяется финскому искусству конца XIX века, основанному на идеях национального романтизма – карелианизму. Отдельные параграфы посвящены рассмотрению финской литературы, дизайна, и влиянию карелианизма на искусство начала XX века. Также рассматривается языковой аспект как основа национального своеобразия и фактор, влияющий на становление национальной идентичности. This work is devoted to the Finnish national identity. Identity formation refers to the period of the formation of an independent state - Finland. The processes of political and intellectual independence belong to the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. In the study, attention is paid to Finnish art of the late 19th century, based on the ideas of national romanticism - Karelianism. Separate paragraphs are devoted to the consideration of Finnish literature, design, and the influence of Karelianism on the art of the early 20th century. The linguistic aspect is also considered as the basis of national identity and the factor influencing the formation of national identity.
