Topic: "Prospects of gas hydrate content of the East Arctic shelf" The volume of the final qualifying work is 46 pages, on which 17 figures and 5 tables are placed. When writing the work 28 sources were used. The content includes an introduction, 4 chapters, 9 sections, 4 subsections, conclusion. The object of the study when writing the work was the process of formation of gas hydrates. The subject of the study was the study of the mechanisms of formation of gas hydrates within the East Arctic shelf of Russia. In this paper, we consider the possibility of forming gas hydrates within the East Arctic shelf of Russia and the expected content of methane in them. On the basis of data on tectonic zoning and thermobaric conditions of the shelf, as well as on the content of methane in bottom sediments, promising hydrates were identified and their stability zones modeled in the Hydrate prediction program and Excel, several assumptions were made about the possibility of the existence of gas hydrate accumulations, Map of their expected occurrence, prospective areas and methane out of hydrates are calculated. The scope of the work may be the extraction of gas from hydrates in the future while strengthening them as a potential hydrocarbon feedstock and solving environmental problems related to methane emissions in the Arctic.
