However, the number of men entering women-dominated professions has increased over the last decade. Along with the increasing number of men entering female-concentrated professions is the growing literature on men's experiences in these fields. However, little to no research has focused on a specific group of men. Given this gap in the literature, this thesis aims to focus on the experiences of Filipino men in Iceland who are currently involved in women-dominated jobs. This thesis aims to answer the research question: What is it like for Filipino men to work in female- dominated jobs? Semi-structured interviews were conducted with five Filipino males from three women-concentrated fields in Iceland. Phenomenology was used to analyze and interpret the data gathered from the interviews. Six themes emerged from the findings: the entry process of men into women-dominated careers, positive experiences, challenges in the workplace, "my boss constantly pushed me to apply, and "should not be limited to sex."
