Þessi MA ritgerð í þýðingarfræði við Háskóla Íslands samanstendur af tveim hlutum. Annars vegar þýðingu á bókinni „The Narcotics Anonymous Step Working Guides“ og hins vegar greinargerð um þýðingarvinnuna. Þar má telja ferli, greiningu, nálgun og úrvinnslu verksins svo og umræðu um frávik frá almennu málfari sem er að finna í textanum, svo og í orðalistum sem voru lagðir fram af samtökum NA á Íslandi og þurfti að taka tillit til við þýðingu textans. This MA thesis in Translation Studies at Háskóli Íslands consists of two main parts. On one hand the translation of the book “The Narcotics Anonymous Step Working Guides” and on the other hand a discussion about the translation work, which includes the procedure, analysis, approach, and processing of the material. There is also a discussion about deviations from general language use in the text as well as the glossary lists supplied by the NA in Iceland, that had to be taken into consideration in the translation.
