The Forestry Building was originally constructed for the 1909 Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exhibition. Following the exhibition, the building was used as the Washington State History museum before structural issues caused it to be torn down in 1930. Recipient: "Harry Balch, Box 502, Blaine, Wash." Message: "I have just completed a 3000 word essay on John Quincy Adams for tomorrows history. This has been a busy week and the next one will be more [illegible] still.
