"When the Esquimaux were leaving homeward found little Raltugia was brought down to the dock, a very sick baby. People present tell me that they all stood around wailing + sorrowing, while the little one put up its final struggle for life. Just as soon as she died everybody cast sorrow aside and nothing but smiling, happy countenances were in evidence Baby was no longer suffering - had found a better home. Seems as if our boasted civilization could borrow an item or two from the savages, doesn't it?" Location approximated using the 1909 Sanborn Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition map.
