A June 30, 1909 Seattle Times advertisements places the cafe's location between the Oregon Building and the Manufactures Building. According to the advertisement: "The Nikko Cafe is a high class restaurant. Our cuisine is unexcelled. Our Chef is high salaried. Our waitresses are quick and courteous. We are prepared to handle large crowds. Our dining rooms are handsomely decorated by Japanese artists. Our grounds laid out in the quaint and pleasant style of the Japanese Garden. Our prices are not higher than downtown restaurants. J.R. Boldt, Manager." Recipient: "Miss Jane Holberg, Afton, Wash. Co. Wash." Message: "Hello meet me in Seattle at the Pay Streak at this Cafe.
