The Arctic region is rich in resources, and both countries are working together to develop these resources, while they have fought over border demarcation and shipping lanes. In the future, the U.S. and Russia will continue and even intensify their confrontation in the Arctic region, but both sides are expected to continue to strengthen their cooperation in low-level areas.
