Faulkner recounts his service history. He was stationed on the USS SC-1301 (a submarine chaser) in Boston, which worked out of Portland, Maine when four German U-Boats surrendered there. The ship then relocated to Newfoundland. "My duties on here consist of supply officer, engineering officer, censoring officer, welfare and recreation officer and commissary officer." Lauren C.
