Hallahan writes that, "The regular arrival of the Aztec [newspaper] & [Aztec] Newsletter have been of considerable help in keeping in touch with civilization." But he says that "now that summer weather has come to Iceland, one copy of each issue of the Aztec is sufficient." In 1941, Americans replaced British occupying troops after the 1940 invasion. Occupying troops decreased to 15,000 in 1944 from 30,000 in 1943. Lauren C.
