Hallahan writes that he is "living in a very colorful extinct volcano" and that Lauren Post's students "would enjoy it" in Iceland. There is "not a single tree to study about. Nothing but rock and more rock." He tells others that San Diego State College "contributes relatively more towards winning the war than their large universities," proving it by the Aztec News Letter.
