The authors identify the extent of the Northern sea route regulation and governance with the main principles and indicators. Besides, the conditions for the NSR to become a public international transport corridor are determined. The problems hindering the growth of LNG supplies along the Northern sea route and the measures taken by the government and business to eliminate them are indicated. The synergy between the development of the NSR and the volumes and efficiency of LNG export supplies is revealed.
