This fall, 80 Maine College of Art students will move into the newly restored dormitory. Former guests of the hotel include the arctic explorer Admiral Robert A. Peary, and actors John Wilkes Booth and Sarah Bernhardt. Northland Enterprises, developer for the $1.8 million project, has restored the building to the way it originally looked when architect Frederick Tompson created it.
