The article reveals the mathematical-geographical approach to the analysis of economic-geographical position (EGP) of the region. Mathematical-geographical position is the location of the object in a geographic coordinate grid, relatively extreme points of the region border with the neighbors. Evaluation of mathematical-geographical position of objects allows you to define negative and positive aspects of the potential for socio-economic development of the region and helps to correctly analyze EGP. В статье раскрывается математико-географический подход к анализу экономико-географического положения (ЭГП) региона. Математико-географическое положение – это расположение объекта в географической координатной сетке, относительно крайних точек региона, пограничных с соседями. Оценка математико-географического положения объектов позволяет определить негативные и позитивные моменты потенциального характера для социально-экономического развития региона и помогает правильно анализировать ЭГП.
