В статье рассматриваетсяэкономико-географическое положение как основной ресурс Нижневартовского региона, оказывающее большое влияние на формирование экономики как во времени, так и в пространстве. По мнению автора, расчет индуцированного потенциаламожно использовать для оценки межареального (положения населенных пунктов региона относительно всех субъектов России) и внутриареального (положения населенных пунктов региона относительно друг друга) экономико-географического положения.Нижневартовский регион занимает «центральное» положение в России, но «периферийное» в Ханты-Мансийском автономном округе - Югре. Из-за его удаленности от основных экономических и политических центров, «центральность» региона переходит в его «глубинность», т.е. «центральное» положение еще не означает благоприятное. The article discusses the economic-geographical position as the main resource of the Nizhnevartovsk region, having a great influence on the formation of the economy both in time and in space. According to the author, the calculation of the induced potential can be used to assess between-area (position of the region's settlements with respect to all subjects of the Russian Federation) and within-area (position of the region's settlements relative to each other) economic-geographical position. Nizhnevartovsk region occupies a "central" position in Russia, but "peripheral" in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Yugra.Because of its geographicalremoteness from the major economic and political centers, the "centrality" of the region enters its " remote", i.e. the "central" position does not mean favorable.
