Résumé. — Reprise d'une enquête anthropo-démographique interrompue depuis vingt ans au Scoresbysund (Ittoqqortoormiit Groenland oriental). Le suivi dans le temps des événements démographiques — connus à travers une documentation précise et fiable — permet d'analyser l'évolution de cette communauté arctique qui en majeure partie originaire d'Ammassalik vit dans un grand isolement depuis son installation dans cette région en 1925. L'analyse du passage d'un régime de fécondité naturelle à celui d'une fécondité contrôlée la présentation des changements considérables survenus dans la mortalité de même que dans la composition de la famille soulignent la grande rapidité de transformation de cette petite société comptant moins de cinq cents individus. La situation démographique de la population du Scoresbysund est mise en relation avec le contexte économique et social particulier de cette commune groenlandaise. Abstract. — An anthropo-demographie study undertaken in Scoresbysund (Ittoqqortoormiit eastern Greenland) has been taken up anew after a twenty years interruption. The follow up in time of the demographic events — known through precise and reliable data — has made it possible to analyse the evolution of this Arctic community for a major part originally from Ammassalik and living in great isolation since its establishment in the area in 1925. The analysis of the passage from a natural to a controlled fertility the presentation of considerable changes in mortality and in the composition of the family stress the great rapidity of transformation of this small society of less than 500 individuals. The demographic situation of the Scoresbysund's population is then related with the particular economic and social context of this Greenlandic municipality.
