Summary. The majority of the population of the Angmassalik district (east coast of Groenland) has gone through an audiological and otological examination : all of the schoolchildren from seven to fourteen years old, all the individuals from fifteen to fourty-nine years old the younger children have not been examined. 713 individuals out of 1033 showed a deficient hearing. 60 schoolchildren showed a deficiency serious enough so as to need an acoustical device which was handed to them as well as to 12 adults. Résumé. La majorité de la population du district d'Angmassalik (Côte est du Groenland) a subi un examen audiologique et otologique : tous les écoliers de 7 à 14 ans, tous les sujets de 50 ans et plus et la moitié des sujets de 15 à 49 ans les enfants les plus jeunes n'ont pas été examinés. 713 sujets sur 1033 présentaient une perte d'audition. 60 écoliers avaient une perte d'audition assez grave pour nécessiter un appareil acoustique qui leur fut délivré ainsi qu'à 20 adultes.
