Les climats de type polaire océanique de l'Arctique Européen (Spitsberg Ile aux Ours) se caractérisent par une variabilité extrême des températures hivernales. Cette étude souligne le lien très étroit qui unit en cette saison les températures et les types de circulation atmosphérique ou /'or/g/ne des masses d'air.
