Summary:Urban ecological compensation plays an important role in county development, city planning and many other works. In order to measure the abilities of urban ecological compensation and formulate the macroscopic planning for policy-management, this article puts forward the concept of green equivalent and application methods of urban ecological compensation. Taking Jinan city as an example, the abilities of its existing greenland in each unit of subdistrict are evaluated and the areas of greenland to be enlarged according to the requirement of air environmental target are calculated. The results demonstrate that the green plant of Jinan city could compensate 22.3% of carbon dioxide and 23.1% of sulfur-dioxide emission in the air, and its abilities of adsorbing dust is a little bigger than that of discharging dust. Owing to successful application of the concept and measuring methods of green equivalent in the public greenland planning of Jinan urban district, it may also be referential in directing other cities in ecological compensation evaluation of greenland and the design of environmental planning.
