The purpose of the data set was to analyze the ground temperature in different pits, in terms of active layer depth estimation. The dataset includes the temperatures of two observation sites GEC-1901 at different depths: 0 cm; 25 cm; 50 cm and 90 cm. The iButtons DS1922L (Maxim Integrated) took 6 measurements per day, at 02:00, 06:00, 10:00, 14:00, 18:00 and 22:00 hours (GMT-3), from 12/05/2022 to 24/03/2024. Soil temperature was calculated as the average of the six daily data.
