This data compilation comprises bathymetry data from several data sources. A detailed list with references can be found below. The raw data have been corrected for sound velocity and edited using common bathymetry processing software (Qimera, MB-System) and converted to ungridded point clouds in .xyz format. They have been further processed using GDAL and Generic Mapping Tools (GMT) to first reduce the point density with a blockmedian and to then create a coherent raster with a nearneighbour algorithm. The raster is referenced to EPSG4326/WGS84 with a resolution of 15s. It covers the larger area around the Cape Verdes.
