Description
Summary:The GIANT-REGAIN (Geodynamics In ANTarctica based on REprocessing GNSS dAta Initiative) project aimed to process and provide consistent GPS time series of all available GPS stations on bedrock in Antarctica from 1995 to 2021. The station metadata, which are crucial for consistent processing, were collected from station protocols, station setup images, previously published metadata, and personal communications with the station operators. The dataset contains station-by-station information regarding the setup of 286 GPS stations and is provided in the established IGS (International GNSS Service) log format (see https://files.igs.org/pub/station/general/sitelog_instr.txt). The naming convention is as follows: _GR2023_log.txt, where the is a unique identifier for the GPS station within this dataset, consisting of the four character site ID and the IERS domes code (if assigned to the station), GR2023 refers to the GIANT-REGAIN project.
