Active layer thickness (ALT) on the North Slope of Alaska (USA) and Manitoba (Canada) in summer 2018 and 2019
Active layer thickness (ALT) on permafrost soils were measured with a metal rod in July/August 2018 and a year later at the same spots. The spots were nearby the Dalton Highway on the Northslope of Alaska and in the surroundings of Churchill (Manitoba, Canada).
