Summary:Permafrost deposits were studied along the Olenyeksky Channel in the western Lena delta as well as snow patches in the Chekanovsky Ridge and permafrost sequences of the Bykovsky Peninsula were studied using a multidisciplinary approach in order to reconstruct the Late Quaternary landscape and environmental history of this Northeast Siberian region. These analyses were done from sample collections of teh expedition "Lena 2000".
